FAQs say a report is sent every 24 hours. Is that not true any more???

FAQs are out of date I am afraid. When things are working, credit is updated once a week, usually at weekends. Andy was working on a new script that wouldn't take the best part of 24 hours (maybe more) to run for working out credit but various other issues that were deemed higher priority have taken precedence. I am not sure what the status of that work is.

As anyone who has followed this project for any length of time will tell you, there have also been times when even the weekly credit update hasn't worked. At one time following a major meltdown in the hardware, we went for several weeks without a credit update but I hope and believe that the system since things were rebuilt is rather more robust than it was.

Thanks, I'll keep running for a couple of weeks and see what happens.

Do the credits happen all at the same time that CPN picks or is it based on my elapsed time???

Do the credits happen all at the same time that CPN picks or is it based on my elapsed time???

The credits are based on the trickle up messages so if your task has 24zip files to upload for example there will be 24 trickle up messages sent to Oxford and the credit is based on those so if the task crashes after the 12th trickle up message you will still get half the credit the task would have gained you had it completed. Credit will be granted for any trickle up messages sent prior to the credit script running at the weekend.
