Do you have any idea what your bill would be without all your solar? (Your latest bill is about a third of mine, I don't have an EV or solar to "worry" about.... but plans are afoot.) |

Do you have any idea what your bill would be without all your solar? Combined gas and electric would be about £150 without any solar at all. Gas was less in winter because woodstove does all the hot water then. Now an IBoost diverts excess production into the hot water once the battery is full. The £150 is without charging the car. |

Maybe add another £50 a month for charging the car. We got the solar on the East facing side (1.82KW about 12-14 years ago. Two years ago got a further 3.4 on West facing side and about 7 weeks ago added 10.4KWH of battery storage. The EV was bought in February. Before winter will switch to an EV tariff letting us charge house and car batteries at 8P/KWH. |

Do you have any idea what your bill would be without all your solar?At 2024 prices, without PV and battery, the forecast ££ bill would be £1,660 to run the home and two EVs (6,650 kWh). Plus £225 for the standing charge. With PV and battery the forecast is MINUS £100, plus the standing charge. |
