2) Message boards : Number crunching : Credits,how often? (Message 29062)

How often a user get credits on work?

Depending on your PC. Mine returns a trickle about once per day on a P4 3.2.
3) Questions and Answers : Unix/Linux : 64 bit processor (Message 27423)

Yes it doesn\'t work with the 64 bit BOINC as I get the message that it can\'t find the 64 bit application.

Thanks for the response.
4) Questions and Answers : Unix/Linux : 64 bit processor (Message 27405)

So if I download a Climate WU using my 64 bit BOINC and 64 Bit operating system (linux) will the climate 32 bit still run. I am running 64 bit applications like RieselSieve and ABC and WEP-M+2 Project on it but if I go away I like to run a Climate model because if my internet connection drops, I am in the country and it happens regularly, I can still process something.

5) Message boards : Number crunching : Optimizing? (Message 25338)
Posted 3500 days ago by Profile Dingo
Donavan: I guess this phenomenon depends very much on the project. It is true that SETI favours Intels, especially the models with a large cache. But in Einstein, for example, any halfway decent AMD wipes the floor with its Intel equivalent (the Intel mobile architectures do okay, though, or better than ordinary Pentiums in any case) and Macs are worst off. It depends on the science app; certain code does better with certain CPU architectures. Therefore some of the optimized apps, but with those, you really have to know what you\'re doing or you\'re risking stability issues aswell.
FYI: I\'ve got a 3500+ and I\'m more than content with its CPDN performance, so, don\'t worry about that ;-)

All my PC\'s but one are Intels and the other is an AMD Duel Core. From what members of the Team have stated and demonstrated AMD\'s are better at most of the projects with the Exceptions of the ones stated. The science is what I do the projects for but the credits keep us all interested.

7) Questions and Answers : Windows : no trickles for 3 days? when will be up? (Message 13584)
Posted 4027 days ago by Profile Dingo
> I have trickles up to 15/06 at 05:00'ish, nothing after that. I'd noticed that

I also have not had any trickles since 15/06. I am going to SUSPEND Climate on all my PC's till they make some sort of statement. I don't see why I should waist my PC's time crunching this project when I can get better value for time on another.

10) Questions and Answers : Windows : hadsm3um_4.04_windows_intelx86.exe Crashing and not restarting (Message 9160)
Posted 4155 days ago by Profile Dingo

I get a small widow open with

hadsm3um_4.04_windows_intelx86.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

There is nothing about the abort in the stderr.txt/stderr.old or the stdout.txt/stdout.old

The following is in the file, I had to delete some charaters to get it to stay in this post.

I detached from the project and then reattached. I will see if this solves the problem.
