All Australians and anyone who is interested, is invited to join a team involved in all BOINC projects, become part of the Aussie Alliance and compete with the largest national teams.

BOINC@AUSTRALIA has a great member retention and participation rate, better than most other teams. Please pop in and find out why

We\'re here for the science but enjoy the fun. We have a team web site, active forum, team camaraderie and best of all great team members. If you\'re interested please click on the link in my signature.

  • BOINC@AUSTRALIA is in striking distance of the top 25?
  • We\'re ranked 27th out of 57,000 world teams for combined BOINC projects.
  • We\'re the #1 Aussie team, with more than 62 Million credits - That\'s a lot of science!
  • The team is active in all current BOINC projects.
  • We\'re still growing and looking for more members in any BOINC project.
  • Your existing Climate Prediction credits come with you.
  • Future credits from all projects will help build a powerful Aussie Alliance.
  • BOINC@AUSTRALIA has over 1,000 members.

Together, we\'ll not only be the top Australian team, but in the top 20 of the world.

We are open to new suggestions, new members and new science. Come and look us over - You can check out our web site by clicking on the team logo below and also have a look around our forum. You can join by clicking on the \"Join..\" hyperlink and follow the prompts. You can ask for assistance in the forum too.

Join us on our next \"Aussie Assault\". You really wont believe how much fun they are, and how addictive, until you been through the crunching frenzy.

On 1 February 2007, we will \"Assault\" the maths project, \"ABC at Home\" and crunch as much science as possible in a fortnight. Then we return you to normal programming. Until the next \"Aussie Assault\". :-)

We are looking for the following Australians.
rob baigent
Ian Hellyer
dajashby
Freman

Last time I checked they were not a member of any team. We would like to offer them and any other Australians, that are not a member of a team, an opportunity to add their crunching and science to BOINC@Australia.

And a general request ;-)

I invite all Australians to join a team involved in all BOINC projects, become part of the Australian Alliance and help compete with large teams from other countries.

We have an active web site, forum and great team members. If you\'re interested please click on the link in my signature.

  • Why start a new team at the bottom of the pack, when we are already within striking distance of the top 30?
  • We are already ranked 31 out of more than 49,000 teams in the world for combined BOINC projects.
  • We\'re the number 1 Aussie team, with more than 32 Million credits. That\'s a lot of science.
  • Australian name, for ALL Aussie crunchers.
  • Team website and forum, and infrastructure available to grow it.
  • The team is active in all current BOINC projects.
  • We have members all over the country and quite a few expats overseas.
  • Your existing individual credits will not be lost.
  • Future credits from all projects will help build a powerful alliance.

Together we could not only be the top Australian team, but well up in the world stats.

We are always open to new suggestions and new members. Come and look us over - You can check out our web site by clicking on the team logo below and also have a look around our forum. You can join by clicking on the \"Join..\" hyperlink and follow the prompts. You can ask for assistance in the forum too.

Thought I\'d seen the same thing so checked our team totals and they are way done for yesterday. Seems to happen every now and then. If it hasn\'t picked up in a day or two I may start to worry. Don\'t want all that work disappearing.

Mike and Spydermb, many thanks for your help on that. I just tried changing my user name to differentiate myself, but my stats just remained as Andrew Wood, so I changed it back to avoid causing confusion. I\'ts strange as there is only one Andrew Wood listed in the Participant profiles - me!. Could the other entries relate to my processing?

Andrew, It takes a couple of days for some changes to propogate across the stats boards. You\'ll also want to change it in each project for consistency and it helps the different stats sites.

It is almost a must to use the same e-mail address on each project and stats site. If you change teams, that\'s done at a project level so it needs to be done on all projects.

Mike,

Thanks, you were able to provide my userid. But, how?

Regards,
Steve \'UsedBits\'

Because I\'m flaming brilliant!

I also looked here http://www.boincstats.com/ and did a search by your User ID.

You also appear to be in two teams both called \"Knights who say Ni\". It may be a BOINC Stats thing but it could be worth having a chat with your team founder.

I tried attaching my stats to my signature, as you suggested, but I get the incorrect user info. I have gone to the BOINC stats link, but cannot find my user ID anywhere. Use of 19380 gives the stats for Nickmat (?)

Any help would be appreciated.

The 19380is your Climate UID: edit: You just beat me ;-)

You need to look up your UID from BOINC Stats or Mondayweb and use that one.
There are two Andrew Wood\'s:
This one

and this one.

Well, for me about 20 trickles got posted, but at this stage exactly zero credits. I think \"some\" is the operative term here. :-)

Mark

credits can take up to 24 hours to process from when a trickle is reported; also the server is a bit behind in processing the trickle data files (used in the plots), but it will catch up in a few days!

Thankyou MIW and thankyou Carl. Saves me a question. ;-)

UsedBits - here is where you find your user no.
It is 172125 for CPDN.

http://www.boincstats.com/search/result.php

Strange - wonder why that is??????

G\'day John, 172125 is his ID number for Climate, not for BOINC Stats, they issue their own so they can display the Combined Totals of all projects and not trip up over other project ID\'s.

Hope that makes sense, I\'m a bit tired, next door neighbour\'s woken me up with noise.

Hey,

Numb question!!! Easy solution I guess!!
How do I get to show my BOINC Stats in my signature? As you can see, all you have here is a www link....clearly not the way to do it!!
Lots of people have nice little graphics which depict their BOINC progress. How do you do this??

Neil.

This thread should really be titled \'Mike Mitchell - UOTD - Twice!!! (+1)\'

Mike has now been named UOTD on HashClash......

What can I say? I\'d like to thank my mum who supported my choice of career. My agent, my publicist, my casting agent, my accountant, my media liaison officer, my producer, my director, my fellow Thespians, my supportive wife and all those who voted, and not just for me. Well, the Pollies keep calling them Peace Missions. If they\'re so damn peacefull, how come everyone has guns? I think our poor troops have gone back up to 37 \"Peace Keeping Missions\" now, with East Timmor again. I think their ranks may be a bit stretched at the moment. Any time someone says recruiting. They automaticaly respond, YES.

They also increased the intake age limit again, it was 53 but one of my brothers is talking to them and he\'s a bit past 53!

I think I\'ll stick with BOINCing. Make BOINCing, not Peace Keeping ;-)

Dial-up users can turn off all the extras, so I\'ve never seen it as much of a problem. Unless there is trouble reading the Thread Title. Um, just how much hand holding do we need?

It wasn\'t that lond ago I was on dial-up myself, I just selected carefully. Looking for threads that were titled, \"Lots of Stupid Pictures\" ;-) or simmilar.

Hey Anton,
I\'m so tempted to make a copy of your post and under the Greenpeace link have it go to an Australian Army recruiting site 8-D They\'re desperate for more recruit’s and they just sent a heap away on another peace keeping mission.

Army = Green, Mission = peace. I don\'t think everyone would appreciate my ironically sense of humour though ;-)

The following model hadcm3lbm_4c3n_05158448_0 crashed on my Win98SE box. It uses a P3 1.2 GHz CPU and 512 Meg RAM.

I\'m hoping it was Win98 and not the 512 Meg.
