Veebee, I think this must be a problem at your end, not with the server.
end quote.

I don't know ... I have two "identical" machines (i7-920's) and they are both crunching and up/ downloading other projects without issue.
THIS machine is one I downloaded a few extra Climate models on to cover work shortages on a chosen project, the other only has the one model running but hasn't (as yet) had a zip file sit there unable to upload.
(mind you, that one is a HADSM3 slab model - just had a "close look" nearly 1200 hours so far !!! :O )

I shall avoid manually retrying uploads on them, but I am having that sinking feeling that all that CPU time is gonna be wasted .. :`(

BTW: two of the zip files Do say they are at 100% uploaded and a few of the pothers get to a certain point and stop...

I thought it better to post here rather than start another "upload trouble" thread...

I am having the same problems as legolas; I have 10 zip files sitting here that have been trying to upload for around a fortnight now.

I stopped client, created cc_config file, restarted and read config file for the HTTP option but it had no effect.
I have also rebooted this machine.

Here are the models, versions and filenumbers ( 3 different WUs ):

All models are Famous 6.11 files _5, _12 (x2), _13 (x2), _14 (x2), _15 (x2), _16, _20.

2 of these Famous models are completed (1 says it is ready to report, 1 says it is uploading) and on "computation errored" out at 160 odd hours.
Another model is almost complete.

Any idea how I can get the work/ files up to the servers as CPDN is one of my fave projects and I dont want to stop crunching it.

Thanks
Veebee

What worries me, is that you don't seem to be following the News thread.
It says quite clearly there, that there are ongoing problems at Oxford.

Wow, I AM really sorry for worrying you Les.....

but being a single father of three teenagers, working 48 hours of shift work every 4 days and being doped out off pain killers for chronic pain from a spinal injury, makes it sorta hard to focus all my attention on "the News thread" about ongoing problems at Oxford.

For a dumb-ass fireman like me, a link TO that specific News thread from someone like yourself, would have probably been a more tactful response and saved you all that worry.

Again, sorry for causing you concern and I wont mention the topic again.

hmmm.. still no luck in having this completed model upload its last zip file.

this is the first time this has happened, and I AM worried that its gonna end up a waste of 140 odd hours of CPU time if it doesn;t get sent.

Any ideas out there as to how to get it uploading???

thanks in advance,

Veebee

* Have just found mo.v 's post on the phpBB forum abou tthe servers being down due to no disk space left.

Their advice is to suspend any nearly-finished models until the problem is cleared.

sorry for wasting forum space !!

I have had no problems up until this one.

Running Hadsm3 Models on Q6600 under Ubuntu 8.04 x64.

The trickles have gone up OK, but now that the WU is finished it has been trying for days to upload..
screenshot from messages tab:

any ideas?

this is the first problem I have had, after having done dozens and dozens of models.

I have a work unit \"stuck\" at 99.999% complete, and the \"timer\" is at 151.23.34, with 00.00.01 to go and just stays there, even when the unit is \"running\".

I haven\'t had (or havn\'t noticed) this happen on any others).
Any idea if it isgoing to \"finish ?

Thanks

10) Questions and Answers : Windows : WU ticking over even when not running (Message 25758)
Posted 28 Dec 2006 by Profile old_user206925
Post:
Just wondering if anyone else has seen their WU ticking over even when its not actually running. The CPU time ticks upwards at about half rate of real time and the \"to completion\" time moves up and down with an overall downward slide. The Progress also slowly increases.?????
