Do you get the messages "Project requested delay of xxxx seconds" ?

Thank you very much. It is presumably only an addition to the Event Log under version 7.16.5 (x64), and does not affect the operation of BOINC. Please confirm that this is so, if you are able to.,

I downloaded version 7.16.5 (x64) a day or so ago, and since then the Event Log has been displaying the message "Project requested delay of 3636 seconds" repeatedly.
That is all it seems to do.
How do I make it a little more sensible?

Thank you. As a Windows operative, I would hope that Windows Tasks would appear soon, but I won't hold my breath!

Is this the same message as "Last attempt too recent (x seconds)", or words to that effect?

Format means file type, ie Windows, Linux or whatever else is in vogue.

No, it wasn't rhetorical, and I'm afraid your final sentence has gone right over my head.

I would add that any attempts, either financial or otherwise, that the West has taken, or may in the future take in order to reduce the man-made generation of CO2, will be more than offset by the "right" to progress civilisation in both the East and the developing world. If AGW is happening, then we'd better get used to it, because there is no way we're going to stop it.

Bob has put into words the thoughts I have had for some time now. As a climate change sceptic, I can only surmise that those responsible for this project must be climate change deniers, since they do not appear to be too bothered about harnessing the efforts of the thousands of volunteers prepared to give of their time and resources to further man's knowledge of his future on this planet. To put the blame for the slow generation of models for processing on problems with servers and the like really is taking the biscuit - does no-one know how computers work?

Neither model appears on the Task tab of BOINC Manager, so no graphics, no time elapsed info, no relevant CPU activity, in short, no nothing! My computer illiteracy offers no salvation, I'm afraid. I assume recourse may be to go into the various log files, but I haven't a clue which, or even if.

Following PSU failure which also took out the integral sound card, extensive reloading of info on the hard drives was undertaken. The two models underway before failure are still shown as "in progress" but cannot be coaxed into life. They are hadam3p_eu_j52p_2009_1_008498422_0 & hadcm3n_oav3_1900_40_008469202_2. The latter was within 7% of completion. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

I have no idea if this is related, but for the last few days, my account has shown that I have three HADAM3P models in progress - not bad for a dual core processor. Unfortunately, only two show on the BOINC manager. How can I rid my account of the wastrel?
