So there is no way to alter it. CPDN units are much bigger than SETI. My PentiumIV 2.4 makes 1 SETI in 4 hours and 1 CPDN in 700 hours. There is no point in compare units becouse there nothing in common with them. In CPDN you report credit about 10000 steps ( more or less). In SETI you report credit when you finish the work unit. In CPND you don't need to connect your computer for a long time. IN SETI you need to connect at least each 10 days. I hope this answer your questions.

Second."Summary of workunit" should update somehow or stop the unit somehow. How do project team get to know of this kind of bugs? Is there a place to report bugs?

Start with Mandrake 10 with KDE. The reason for Mandrake is becouse it's very simple to install. The reason for KDE is becouse it's graphical interface it's very similar to Windows. I think this is the easear way to start. After you feel comfortable try other distributions and move the one you like most.
