But it aint that bad if boinc tries to connect. The connection will just time out and boinc will retry in a few minutes at first and hours later

Oops, boinc sorted on most common question. Sorry for this post :D

And why do you give up support?

Does seti also crash under win98 or is it just cpdn?

Hey,

on my profile the page says this for the modelyears i have completed:

CPDN classic credit equivalency 58072.53
equivalent HadSM3 Model-Years 480.10

but if i look on the old page it says 174.528
That\'s not even close!

Is the whole credit system based on this? Cause otherwise it\'s easy to obtain lots of credits in this project for less calculation work.

I once read you use 0.004 cr/timestep. It looks like it\'s not realy correct then.

Maybe you can ask if CPDN can be put on this page:

http://boinc.berkeley.edu

In the status thing there is seti and predictor but no cpdn!

I think these times are shorter then a trickle!

The work unit splitters are the weaker parts but i think it'll be better in this project since it has laaaarrrrrgggg workunits

But if seti problems keep on coming the cpdn project will get lots of attention and may have some problems too!
20) Questions and Answers : Preferences : Slower processors? (Message 1181)
Posted 18 Aug 2004 by Pconfig
Post:
You'll get less credit because you will slow down your processor. This means you will do less work / timeinterval. For each timestep you'll get about 0.004 credit but if you do less work you compute less timesteps so you get less credit.

(how many times did i use less? :D)
