Arrgh... I had 4 of those bad boys. :-(

You might want to make a separate post about this -- I just happened to stumble on this thread when looking for something else.

Willy recently pulled down the latest stats, but he had to use a workaround. It looks like his usual process is getting "403 forbidden" back from CPDN.

I see that, too. Thanks to the staff and admins for getting us fixed up!

Grrr...These errors are getting annoying. I've gotten a couple of resends of tasks that crashed the first time. I think I'm going to stop polling for new work until we get some feedback.

Me, too. Sent somewhere between 8.1%-8.5% progress.

With the great variation in computer speeds, it's probably best to answer that in terms of progress made, rather than absolute time.

Ah, yes, that's a good point. I have three tasks that are as far along as 8% right now (and no trickles). I'll check after they get further along.

How often should trickles be uploaded with the WAHs? I have 9 tasks across three hosts that have been running for 15-20 hours and I see no trickles logged. And, I see no upload attempts in the BOINC message logs.

I'm willing to concede that the error my PC generated was computer related -- perhaps some transient condition or just bad luck. This same host is 8-10 hours into 4 other WAH tasks with no apparent problems (that I know of). My lone Win10 PC seems to be blissfully grinding away, 6-7 hours into two of its WAHs.

Interesting. The first one on one of my PCs did the same things (the other two were okay). I had the same kind of error as you had -- a series of what look like upload failures similar to the following:

upload failure: <file_xfer_error>
<file_name>wah2_eu2_g79c_1967_1_010161324_0_1.zip</file_name>
<error_code>-161 (not found)</error_code>
</file_xfer_error>

Since then, this host has completed two other hadcm3s tasks in a time similar to before the upgrade. Two others are in progress and on track for the same outcome. I'm not seeing any significant slowdown.

Curious... I just happened to get a hadcm3s on a PC that I recently upgraded to Win10 (from Win7). I noticed how quickly it was running and wondered if it was different than others. Anyway, it finished earlier to day in about half the time previous shorts had run on this machine. Task 18759757 is the WU in question (I hope that's a public link). Is something amiss?

Ah, yes, I see that! I might see if that can be done at BOINCstats, too.

You could install Virtual Box on a Windows host and then build a Linux Virtual Machine. I do it currently.

Thanks, Tullio. I've tried that before but display issues within the VM made it difficult to manage. I was probably doing something wrong and might give it another try sometime.

Got it. Thanks, Les! I would happily convert one (or more) of my hosts into Linux machines, if I could get them to network with my Windows hosts so I could see everything remotely. (I'm sure it's not that difficult, but I'm not there yet!)

Haven't been checking anyone else's but my credit has gone up each day for th epast three days which seems to imply things are working again. I don't check my credit on external sites however so can't comment o those.

My stats here at the project have been updating, too. But, it's the external sites that could use an update.

Following the link provided by Richard H., I now see that the stats directory has files with today's date. So, it should only be a matter of time for the stats sites to catch up.
