Congrats for your article in Nature with first results! This underline how meaningful this project is and network computing can be!

Projectname "CPDN" changed to S@H in the workwindow!

What to do, how to repair?

Wow - that would make sense!)

> you could try the direct link i.e.:

fine, but do I have to newly attach to the project (in this case all done work lost?)or change the xml-file (I think it is protected and changes by users are not possible?) or how to do it (pardon me, concerning this topic I'm widely helpless)?

> it hits our "home page" to get the BOINC scheduler server name, but for some
> reason you aren't getting it. It's possible the URL was typed in wrong or had
> some whitespace; perhaps a proxy server issue?

Thanks for your reply. I had a look to the "account_climateprediction.net.xml", which is:

and for me it seems to be o.k. So updating was possible without problems till yesterday. The problem is the same on my machine at home and in my office. More ideas?

tried to update CPDN, but always get the message:

climateprediction.net - Master file fetch failed.

I'm a layman, can't understand the meaning, don't know what to do. Anyone there with help or explanation?

The computation of CPDN stoped on my computer, might be a client error (I'm not sure). I tried to get new work, but the message from the scheduler was:
"No work available (daily quota exceeded)".

Is someone there, to explain this message?

> >
> I have the same problems since yesterday. I guess there is something wrong with the BOINC-Client-Software in general!
> Me too.
>
> There's a bunch of 'Fortran' error codes.

> Here's my stats.

>
> The early WU's failed because I unistalled boinc, to reinstalled Boinc 3.2
> Then.. Seti started running on 4.05, so I upgraded again.
> All of today's errors have been due to boinc bugs.
>
> The useless advice I've seen on the help boards have been:
> 'remove the user logos from seti'
> 'remove the preinstalled stuff that HP installs' - sorry, I don't run HP.
> 'YOu're running win98? right' - sorry, I'm running XP SP2.
>
> I think we need everyone with the Fortran error code to make one big thread,
> just like the Win98/boinc4.05 error thread over at the Seti forums.

9) Questions and Answers : Windows : Visual Fortran run-time error (Message 2824)
Posted 3 Sep 2004 by Profile [B^S] iimotion
Post:
I\'m running cpdn since a couple of days but processing always stops with an error-message; for example:
Visual Fortran run-time error
forrtl: serve (17): syntax error in NAMELIST input, unit 57, file
...\\BOINC\\projects\\climateprediction.net\\1s7s_000104075\\jobs\\spec3a_sw_3_asol2b_hadcm3

Version number of BOINC: 4.05
Operating system: Windows 2000 (HP-Notebook) and Windows XP Prof (Dell-PC)

Some solutions?
