But I did discover that I had set the http proxy for my firewall, but not a SOCKS proxy. When I set the SOCKS proxy also, everything started working normally. The trouble with errors like this is that one never knows if the solution was just a coincidence. Maybe the servers just started sending me good work units at that time. Whatever the cause, I am happy now. :) Paul

Some 20 tasks have been downloaded in the last few days: every one was immediately rejected because the MD5 checksum was wrong.
