2) Message boards : Number crunching : Completed Task, Validate State - Initial (Message 45857) Posted 9 Apr 2013 by archeye Post: Hi, This is the my first completed task so I am still feeling my way here but I notice while the Task Outcome is Success , the Validate state has not moved from state Initial. I have tried searching the forum and looked through the FAQ but the 'normal' process does not seem to be explained for this attribute. Normally completed tasks only stay in the user list for a short while so I waited to see if would update but as it didn't I decided to ask the question before this task disappears. So, for instance, does the Validate state change from 'Initial' to something like 'Final' after verification of the model or... ? This is not a problem for me, I am just interested to understand the process a little better :) Below is my completed task, Regards,

I have now removed the project from that PC but interestingly I see in the task list the last WU I was downloading is still shown as active and it has a very generous deadline of 2022. Maybe this shows a bug in the deadline setting algorithm ;) Anyway, the WU can be reset otherwise it may not be properly re-cycled into the work pool. regards,
