But I have one question regarding the inclusion of the betas: Why don\'t you create a permanent beta for the more adventuresome, like Seti, Rosetta, ABC, LHC and Pirates? It would save you the work of merging them from time to time.

Not neeeded anymore WCG checked in some new code to the server code to enable a project to run BETA tests from the main project URL, a user selects a option to participate in BETA and then the server sends any BETA work to them

But its the projects choice at the end of the day

Things should stay the same, keep each stats for each CPDN project seperate, if you want to combine them on CPDN then do so but just list it in a persons account rather than including it in the XML, it has messed up BOINCstats big time & more than likely BOINC Synergy too.

This is from Willy @BOINCstats

@carlc: Why did you do this? The credits will never be lost on sites likes BOINCstats. It will just cause a lost of work, just to filter out the credits from those two projects. And what about those who never crunched the main project?

To sort of add on to Les\' notes about migrating over, I had a brainstorm to move credits over. The next stats run should do this

Well thats messed up the BOINC combined stats big time ;)

Raven, the originator of this thread, has become upset at me splitting it to help people with dial up access, so I\'ve deleted the new one.

Just continue here.

And his point is what? We have to think of Dial-up users also they don\'t have the luxury of opening up these huge threads

.. but, I have just found out, credits from this will not go towards BOINC totals, so if you care about these, wait a couple of days or so until we start distributing the same experiment here...

The XML stats are been exported people so you can show them in your stat boxes as soon as these services add the project

I have just had a nasty surprise with this I downloaded it and it removed the normal boinc program .So be warned IF you do want this you will have to attach as you would any other project.

you should have just created an account on your BOINC client using the URL of the project

I don\'t see how you don\'t understand??

All Jack Lass wants is for people to use the Science board for topics related to CPDN Science.

Edit: Also Jack Lass is saying that people should use the other forums to ask about credit and any other Non-related science items and leave this forum SCIENCE ONLY

Edit2: SETI rearranged there boards so that Science is at the bottom of the list now this seems to have stopped people posting anything into it as most people just go to the 1st forum they find rather than go to the correct one
