Yeah, a new thread on core speed, s/TS, versus watts used on different chips would be fun to see.
Don't think my little undervolted AMD 5600G 6-core with only 16 Mb L3-cache is so bad against the bigger ones.
With 5 cores using 130W it takes around 7 days for wah2 8.29 or 4.37 kWh/task
Running 2-3-4 cores is faster but not much.

Hi!
A new one turned up on the server status page: OpenIFS 43r3 Multi-core Linear grid tl159 l91
Multi-core sounds very interesting, how many cores? is it going well on testing?

It was a mistake trying this again, see if I'll bother uploading my 30-40 results, other things need my bandwith

12) Message boards : Number crunching : Total Credit (Message 53932)

Post:
Some things never change... death, taxes, and CPDN credit problems.

I've been away from the project for over a year and returning I see that there's still endless discussion about CPDN credits. In fact, it still the most active - it's at the top of the non-sticky threads list, where it always has been.

I have participated in many different projects, and this is the only one that I have ever experienced credit issues with.

The other projects' credit systems just work.

For me, personally, I don't care much about whether I get CPDN credits or not.

But it would be nice if this can be fixed, once and for all. There's too much time and energy being wasted in this never-ending squabble.

Fully agree.

Problem is that Oxford still live in the mediaeval ages and look at crunchers as silly servants, they just don't understand how distributed computing works. They could fix it right away if they wanted.

just got my 10,012,024 back, Woo and Hoo :-)

-snip-

By the way, your credits were apparently heavily weighted in early days of CPDN's boinc era. Hence your huge percentage jump. (You beat my high-jump.)

For what's it's worth, most of the people posting in defense of patience are what we used to call Beta testers -- for which, in recent years, NO CREDIT is awarded. They are dedicated to the advancement of Climate Science -- period. (Please don't think I'm here giving myself a pat on the back -- I'm much too old for such trivialities.)

Hang in there, Helix!

Best regards.

Hey ol' buddy astroWX ;-P

So you noticed Helix since he have bigger points than you in the past?
(pardon my laughter)

That is how stats works and it's important that folks now what folks are doing, right?

That is about the silliest thing I've ever seen here, most of my completed models are reruns from crashed windows models, rescued, recovered or whatever..

Well well there are other things to do like Dnetc or Asteroids and..

And looks like trickles after the twelfth don't show up on the task page.

Yes, only first year trickles, that is why it only gives 1083,04 points.
This is a glitch in the server parameters for that kind of model and it have happened before since it have variable lengths.
It can easily be fixed to 10 years if a mod mails the staff.

Edit: well I assume you have sent trickles for all 10 years..otherwise the model is crocked
